Bread Pudding Recipe
Old fashioned bread pudding with vanilla,bourbon or caramel sauce is an easy and simple homestead recipe to use up eggs, milk and stale bread. Comfort food at its best – breakfast, dessert, or snack!

Ingredients
- 8 cups bread, cubed
- ½ cup raisins
- 2 Tbsp bourbon
- 4 eggs
- 2 cup milk
- 2 tsp cinnamon, divided
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ½ cup sugar + 2 Tbsp
Caramel Sauce
- ½ cup Unsalted Butter
- ½ cup Heavy Cream
- ½ cup Brown Sugar
Bourbon Sauce
- ¼ cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Combine raisins and 2 tablespoons bourbon in a bowl. Let stand 30 minutes. Drain mixture in a sieve over a bowl, reserve liquid for mixture or sauce.
