Strawberry Dumplings

These Strawberry Dumplings are warm, buttery, and bursting with fresh strawberry flavor. Crescent roll dough wraps around juicy strawberries, baked in a cinnamon-vanilla syrup until golden and bubbling. The result? A gooey, sweet dessert that’s perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s an easy, crowd-pleasing treat you’ll want to make all year round.

Servings: Serves 6–8

Ingredients:
  • 2 (8 oz) cans crescent roll dough
  • 16 fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda 

Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Roll each strawberry in a triangle of crescent dough and place seam-side down in the prepared dish.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until combined. Remove from heat.
  • Pour the sauce evenly over the dumplings. Then pour the lemon-lime soda around the edges of the dish (not directly over the dumplings).
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the sauce is bubbly.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Serving Suggestions:
  • Top with vanilla ice cream for a classic warm/cold contrast
  • Add a sprinkle of powdered sugar or a drizzle of caramel sauce
  • Garnish with fresh mint or sliced strawberries for a beautiful presentation
Tips:
  • Make sure to use firm, ripe strawberries so they don’t get mushy when baked.
  • Don’t skip the soda — it creates the gooey, syrupy base!
