Ingredients:
Pretzel Bites:
- 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
- Coarse salt
Cheese Dip:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out pizza dough and cut into 1-inch pieces.
- Boil 4 cups water and add baking soda. Briefly dip dough pieces into the mixture, then place on the sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
- For cheese dip:
- Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk and cheese, stirring until smooth.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve in paper cones or bowls with the cheese dip in small ramekins. Add spicy mustard for a second dipping option!
