BAKED GOAT CHEESE BALLS
These Baked Goat Cheese Balls are crispy on the outside, creamy and tangy on the inside — an easy yet elegant appetizer perfect for entertaining. Coated in golden breadcrumbs and baked instead of fried, they’re a lighter, crowd-pleasing snack served with honey, fig jam, or on top of fresh salads.

Servings: 12-15 bite-sized balls small fritters
Ingredients:
- 8 oz goat cheese (chèvre), softened
- 2 oz cream cheese (optional, for smoother texture)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, or chives), chopped (optional)
- Olive oil spray or drizzle
Instructions:
- Mix goat cheese and cream cheese (if using) until smooth. Stir in herbs if desired.
- Roll into balls (about 1 tbsp each) and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Freeze for 20–30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Dredge the chilled cheese balls:
- Roll in flour
- Dip in beaten egg
- Coat with panko breadcrumbs
- Place on a baking sheet, lightly spray or drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden and crisp.
Serving Suggestion:
- Serve warm with honey drizzle, red pepper jelly, or alongside crostini and fruit on a cheese board. Also great atop arugula salads.
Tips:
- Don’t skip chilling — it helps them hold shape while baking.
- Add crushed nuts to the panko for extra crunch and flavor.
- Use herbed goat cheese for more flavor with no extra prep.
